Trijam 355 ("Inconvenient Superpowers")

This is my potential entry for this weekend's "Trijam", the three-hour game jam hosted on itch.io. If you're not familiar with Trijam, here's a link to the description with everything you need to know: https://itch.io/jam/trijam-355

My idea

The theme for this weekend's jam is "Inconvenient Superpowers", whic reminded me of an idea I've been wanting to try out for a while. It's for a top-down stealth game where hurting enemies also hurts you. I got the idea from Octavia Butler's book, "Parable of the Sower," which you should totally read if you haven't. The main character has a condition that makes her literally feel other people's pain (and pleasure).

Progress so far

So far I've only gotten the top-down movement working in a reasonably effective way. I still need to add enemies with "cones of vision", as well as an environment, obstacles, and some kind of goal. I'm very interested in collaborating on this. Reach out if you have any thoughts! torontocaper@gmail.com
